In plain English: we’ve sealed the thing up tight. We use high-temp silicone gaskets and terminals that won’t rust or corrode. A few tips for installing
These are designed to be simple drop-in replacements, but there are two things you should keep in mind. First, double-check your ballast. Make sure the wattage matches. If you try to “over-drive” the element to get more heat, you’re just going to burn out the filament way faster. Second, give it some breathing room. Even though the seals are tight, the outside of the housing still gets hot. If you’re stuffing this into a tiny ceiling void with no airflow, you might trip the thermal cutout or warp your fixtures. Just leave a little gap for the air to move, and you’re golden.
