Built for the splash zone Water and electricity are a nightmare together. That’s why we went with an IP65 rating. In plain English? The housing is totally dust-tight and can handle water jets coming from any direction. We used tempered glass and heavy-duty silicone seals so that steam doesn’t sneak into the electronics and fry them. One quick tip on where to put it: these lamps pack a punch. Because the heat is so concentrated, you don’t want them too low, or you’ll end up scorching your fixtures. Give it at least 1.5 meters of breathing room. That way, the warmth spreads across the whole room instead of just baking one spot. More than just a cozy vibe This isn’t just about feeling warm on a cold morning. This kind of light actually helps standing water evaporate way faster than a cheap heat lamp would. It does the heavy lifting, helping your vent fan clear out the humidity much quicker. Now, there is a trade-off. To get enough power to actually stop mold, these lamps pull more current than a basic heater. Just make sure your bathroom wiring can handle the wattage. You don’t want to be tripping your breakers right in the middle of a winter shower.
