We built our portable infrared heater to do exactly that, so you get fast, focused heat without gambling on electrical reliability.
What matters under the hood
We run a quartz-tube infrared emitter inside a fully enclosed, double-insulated housing. The heating element stays electrically isolated from the outer shell, and every internal joint is sealed against steam getting in. It runs on standard 120V/230V household circuits and draws a controlled load, so it won’t overload typical bathroom outlets when used as directed. A built-in thermostat holds a steady comfort range, and the outer surface stays touch-safe while it’s running.
Why it works in a humid bathroom
Conventional convection heaters can feel sluggish and struggle when humidity is high. Infrared warmth is direct and directional—warming you, the towel, and the tile surface first, so the room feels cozy much faster. The things you should know
For full safety, plug the unit into a grounded outlet on a properly rated circuit. Keep it at least 0.6 meters from water sources, and never run it while it’s submerged or directly under a shower spray. It’s designed for bathroom and indoor use, but it’s not rated for full outdoor exposure to rain or heavy splashing. If your home has older wiring, check that the circuit can handle the heater’s draw before you fire it up the first time.
