When we set out to build 1500W ceiling heaters for bathrooms and gazebos, we had one main goal: instant warmth. No waiting around for the air to heat up while you’re shivering. We wanted that “hit of heat” the second you flip the switch. But there’s a catch. When you push that much power, things can get intense. Especially if you have kids or babies around, you can’t just blast raw energy into a room. The power struggle 1500W is a lot. It’s exactly what you need to fight off a chilly breeze in an outdoor gazebo, but it puts a real strain on your electrical system. We use short-wave infrared because it goes straight to your skin, not the air. It’s efficient. Just a heads-up: make sure your wiring and breakers can actually handle a continuous load like this. You don’t want your power cutting out right when the winter chill hits its peak. Fixing the “Blinding” Problem Ever looked at a standard halogen lamp? It’s a harsh, bright white light that practically burns your retinas. Nobody wants that in their bathroom or over their dinner table. So, we added a spectral filter. Essentially, we shifted the energy. We pushed the peak away from that piercing blue light and moved it toward the long-wave infrared side. Now, instead of a blinding spotlight, you get a soft, muted glow. It warms you up without making you squint. Getting it on the ceiling Since these are meant for the ceiling, we have to be smart about the heat. 1500W gets hot—really hot—right at the source. That’s why we use high-temp quartz glass. One thing you can’t skip: follow the clearance distances in the manual. If you mount the unit too low, you’re asking for trouble. You could scorch your ceiling or, worse, burn someone’s skin. Give it some breathing room. We designed these to be simple drop-in replacements for your old fixtures. They’re fast, they’re dim, and they just work.
